Report patient safety concerns

Medical Optics considers patient safety and quality of care to be of fundamental importance. If you have any concerns about patient safety or quality of care at our practice we encourage you to please make us aware.

We would appreciate it if you would let us know by emailing us at alternatively you can phone the practice and ask to speak with the Clinical Practice Manager or you can visit the practice in person and fill in one of our complaint forms.

If you feel that Medical Optics has not dealt with your concerns satisfactorily you can complain to the Competition and Consumer Protection Authority or the Health and Safety Authority

Furthermore, we are engaged with Joint Commission International and have applied for accreditation that our patient safety and quality of care systems meet international standards. If Medical Optics does not address your concerns satisfactorily we encourage you to report the matter to Joint Commission International

If the matter is serious and relates to the actions of an optometrist or dispensing optician you can report the matter to CORU –

If the matter is serious and relates to the actions of a doctor you can refer the matter to the Medical Council –
